A DIY sleeping platform for your car or SUV.

A car camping platform creates a sleeping surface above your cargo area, with room underneath for gear. Campit lets you explore a modular layout with open storage, a left or right drawer, two drawers, and removable driver-side and passenger-side bed panels.

Before you build

Can I keep the drawers installed and remove the bed?

The layout separates the trunk box from the two front panels. Each front panel has its own legs and can be removed independently. The trunk box and its drawers can remain installed when properly secured.

Does choosing my SUV model guarantee the platform fits?

No. Trim, seat positions and cargo-floor details vary. Measure your own vehicle, check the hatch opening, and test cardboard templates before cutting. The first preview is conceptual; your final cut sizes come from your measurements.

Which drawer layout should I choose?

Choose no drawers for two open bays, a left or right drawer to keep one bay open for larger gear, or both drawers for maximum organization. Try every layout in the 3D preview before you buy.
